History
They probably originated in the United States in the 1980s or 1990s. It was a time when crossbreeding regained popularity and many designer dogs appeared on the scene.
Care and Health
Overall the Jack Russell Chihuahua mix is not a difficult dog to care for. They require around half an hour to an hour of exercise each day but this does not always have to be a walk. They do love to go out but they will also enjoy running around a garden or around the house. Jack Chis have dense, medium coats, and they have a straight texture. As a pretty low maintenance dog, the Jack Chi's coat can be brushed once a week. This will help keep their coat smooth. Occasional baths will suffice with this breed.
