History

The Schweenie comes from the Shih Tzu that dates back to Tibet around the year 800 and the Dachshund who was originally bred 15th century Germany.

Care and Health

The only grooming requirement for the Shih Tzu Dachshund mix is regular brushing. It is recommended to brush this dog 2-3 times a week to keep its long coat tangle free. Overall they are a healthy breed.
